Changing The Way You Learn To Dive!

Expand your dive time with nitrox!

The PADI Enriched Air Diver course is PADI’s most popular specialty scuba diving course, and it’s easy to see why. Scuba diving with Enriched Air Nitrox gives you more no decompression dive time. What this means is that you have more time underwater. You will be able to stay down longer and get back the water sooner. No wonder many divers choose this as their very first specialty.

WHAT will i learn?

Prior to attending the class you are required to watch the PADI Enriched Air Diver video as well as to read the PADI Enriched Air course manual and answer the relevant knowledge reviews. During the class you will learn the basics of the theory, restrictions and benefits involved when diving with Enriched Air Nitrox. During yoru classroom session there will be hands on analyzing, noting and logging tanks.

WHAT exactly is nitrox?

Enriched Air (also known as Nitrox) is a Nitrogen/Oxygen mix that has a greater percentage of Oxygen and a lesser percentage of Nitrogen in it than normal air we breath. This means safer diving and potentially longer bottom times due to reduced nitrogen absorption. Enriched Air Nitrox diving is ideal when doing multiple dives over multiple days on a dive adventure. For the traveling diver, many dive boats operators offer Nitrox tanks for their customers. Remember that this course can count towards your Master Scuba Diver 5 PADI Specialties!

During the class you will need to bring your PADI Enriched Air Diver manual with the knowledge reviews already completed. A pen and notebook to take notes will be a tremendous benefit. If you own a Nitrox compatible dive computer bring that with you. Using your own dive computer while performing dive simulations in class you will become more comfortable using your own computer. During yoru class The Dive Place will provide Nitrox tanks to analyze, the anylizer and dive computers for dive simulations if you do not own one.

How do i get started?
