The Master Scuba Diver rating is the highest certification that any recreational diver can achieve. With fewer than two percent of divers ever achieving this rating, you will be a part of an elite group of respected divers who have earned this rating through both significant experience and scuba training. The PADI Master Scuba Diver Challenge is a specially designed program to enhance your interest in learning how to be a better diver.

WHAT are you going to LEARN?

The Master Scuba Diver Certification is a continuing education course for divers who wish to increase their understanding and enjoyment of diving. This course is an excellent progression toward PADI dive professional role. During your training, you will engage in and earn 5 of the following PADI Specialty Diver Certifications. Boat Diver Deep Diver Digital Underwater Photography Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV) Drift Diver Dry Suit Diver Enriched Air Nitrox Diver Emergency Oxygen Provider Equipment Specialist Multilevel Diver Night Diver Peak Performance Buoyancy Diver Search & Recovery Diver Underwater Naturalist Underwater Navigator Wreck Diver

WHAT EQUIPMENT WILL BE USED?

You’ll use your own basic scuba equipment. Required items depend upon the what PADI Specialty Certification training you may need. Items may include a compass for navigation, 2 flashlights, a primary and a back up, and a knife. If you select night diving, Glo-Sticks are also required. For search and rescue, a lift bag will be required. Your PADI Instructor will explain the equipment that you may need and might suggest additional gear, such as your own surface flag buoy, line and reel which will be useful throughout your diving career.

how does the program work?

The PADI Master Scuba Diver program is designed to be tailored to each individual diver. This allows us to take you from your current certification level no matter what it is to that of a PADI Master Scuba Diver. If you are just starting your Scuba Diver education, or are a seasoned Scuba Diverwe can help you in achieving your Scuba Diving goals form your existing level of Scuba Diving education. It all starts with earning your PADI Open Water Diver certification. That is then followed by PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and PADI Rescue Diver (or qualifying certifications). With five PADI Specialty Diver certifications and a minimum of 50 logged dives you will have earned your PADI Master Scuba Diver rating.

WHAT are the requirements?

As with all scuba diving, you need to be physically able to dive without limitations and in good health. To enroll in a PADI Master Scuba Diver course you must be a certified PADI DIver with Open Water, Advanced, Rescue and a current EFR card who is at least 12 years old, or hold an equivalent certification from another agency. You will also need to to be certified in 5 PADI Specialties. If you gained your PADI Advanced Diver Certification within the last 12 months, those adventure dives may be credited towards earning a Specialty Certification in that particular field of diving. Talk to one of our PADI Instructors to see if those dives will qualify.

WHAT is included in the course?

Depending upon your current certification level, and what PADI Specialty Certifications you have, this may include: PADI Master Diver Certification card and Certificate. Your 5 PADI Specialty Diver Certifications. Any core PADI courses to be eligible to achieve your PADI Master Scuba Diver certification. Not included: dive equipment rental such as tanks, BC, regulator set, compass, flashlights and any personal diving equipment such as mask, snorkel, fins, boots and weights. Open Water/Ocean boat fees. Transportation to/from pool, dive training sites or boat docks.
