Changing The Way You Learn To Dive!

energency first responder instructor

PADI EFR Instructor Course CPR and first aid are key skills that are important to everyone, not just scuba divers. As an Emergency First Response Instructor, you teach skills based on internationally recognized emergency care guidelines, and you can offer courses to anyone. The great thing about EFR courses is they make learning easy by providing a comfortable environment to practice emergency care skills. Your students finish the course feeling confident with their new skills and ready to help someone in need. This program focuses on familiarizing you with the Emergency First Response program philosophy and structure. NOTE: You don't need to be a diver to attend this course!

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

The only requirements are that you’re at least 18 years old and have Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) training within the past 24 months. An EFR Instructor rating is required to become a PADI Instructor, but you don’t have to wait until you’re ready to go pro. You can complete or refresh this training during your PADI Instructor training. Individuals who are current CPR/first aid instructors with another qualifying organization may choose to earn the Emergency First Response Instructor rating by completing a prescribed program based on portions of the Emergency First Response Instructor Course, the Emergency First Response Instructor Crossover Program. This program gives credit to their teaching experience and focuses on familiarizing them with the Emergency First Response program philosophy and structure. Practicing medical professionals (e.g. paramedics, EMTs, nurses, doctors) are not required to have completed the Emergency Fist Response Primary Care (CPR), Secondary Care (First Aid) and Care for Children courses. Although participating in these provider-level courses is beneficial, it isn’t required since professional medical training serves as an equivalent.
