De leon springs  State park

This second-magnitude spring has seen its share of Florida history. Native Americans left burial mounds, a shell mound, and a 6,000-year-old canoe sunk in the spring. DeLeon Springs is an excellent training location for students learning to dive. The large open water basin has no dangerous obstructions and offers a maximum depth of 30 feet with a average depth of 8 feet. Giant stride entries can safely be performed off the dock and a nice sturdy staircase for egress. The Old Spanish Sugar Mill right across from the spring that was converted years ago into a restaurant offering incredible pancakes.
