ABOUT US - THE DIVE PLACE

HOW WE BEGAN

The concept of The Dive Place began over lunch one day. Talking about what we liked and didn't like about our own Scuba Diving Certifications. We all agreed wouldn't it be nice to have been able to have learned to dive in a place that was friendly, welcoming and worked around our schedules. From that simple conclusion, The Dive Place was born!

WHAT WE DO

At The Dive Place we offer boutique style scuba diving training and certifications at regular class prices. Meaning whether you are learning to dive or continuing your diver education, we plan your classes around your schedule. Not ours. Unlike dive shops, our classes are limited 4 divers in size. No feeling like one of the herd or just a number. We offer both semi-private and private classes. Our professional scuba diving instructors are full time career crew members. Not someone teaching part time or out of a garage.

BRAD With a solid background in big box retail, Brad's passion for customer service and experience is integral to the success of The Dive Place. From the way the store looks, to our basic philosophy of how we interact with our guests, Brad's passion for detail, service, and hospitality, is a key part in making The Dive Place difference.
NOEL As a diver and PADI IDC Staff Instructor, Noel has a passion for teaching and sharing of information about scuba diving. Noel's experience in training, customer service and production is the driving force behind our on-line and social media presence. Noel is also a 100% project AWARE participant helping protect our oceans and marine life.
RICHARD As a PADI IDC Staff Instructor, Richard's knowledge and constant desire to expand both his own and his students diver knowledge provides a constant source of motivation for our guests to dive and continue their diver education.
DAWN As a Master Scuba Diver Trainer Dawn enjoys sharing her passion for diving. After traveling and diving across south east Asia Dawn has made central Florida her home. She has a belief that diving should first and foremost be safe and FUN! Whether you dive to escape, explore, push your boundaries, or learn something new she wants to share her love for the ocean with you.
BILL With many years of experience, Bill is our PADI Course Director. His oversight, high standards and attention to detail is one of the cornerstones in the foundation of our training program at The Dive Place

RETURNS

Returned items must be returned within 30 days of purchase and in the original packaging and in the condition it was sold in. Items returned due to manufacturer defect should be returned with original packaging if possible.

DIVE TRIP

REFUNDS

All Dive Adventures that include dive boats have a cancellation policy. Cancellations made within 72 hours are typically non-reundable. Unless cancellation is made by the boat operator due to weather or mechanical issues. It is strongly recommended that all divers obtain DAN Travel Insurance.

PADI

eLEARNING  COURSES

PADI eLearning Diver Certification Courses - Classes are refundable if materials are returned in original sealed, unopened and unused condition. PADI eLearning courses are non-returnable and non-refundable if eLearning course material has been registered or started.

SPECIALTY DIVER COURSES

Specialty Diver Courses - materials are are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Returns due to medical conditions are honored with documentation. Specialty Course materials purchased sealed are refundable if returned sealed, unopened and unused.

RENTAL EQUIPMENT

Rental Equipment - Returned unused rental equipment is non-refundable.

SPECIAL ORDER ITEMS

Special Order Items - those that are not normally carried in stock are not returnable except for manufacturer defect. Items will need to be returned with the original packaging.

GENERAL

REFUNDS

Credit/Debit card refunds will be credited back to the original card the item was purchased with. Cash refunds over $200 will be made via check through US Mail within 30 days of return.

SERVICE ITEMS

All items left for service are expected to be picked up within 14 days of notification that the item is ready for pick up. Unpaid items left in the store for fills, inspections and hydro testing and service items that are left beyond 45 days will be considered abandoned and disposed of.
